In section 1 of your economic profile, you will be determining the career for you in the future!
You will make this decision based on interests, strengths, statistics, and Canadian demographics
for job markets. So lets get started!
Part 1: Careers Based on your Interests and Strengths
1. To get an idea of the types of careers for you based on your interests and strengths, you
can visit the following websites and take various quizzes:

You can also complete other career quizzes in order to get more results.
2. Now from the careers suggested for you or just from your own ideas, choose a career that
you would like to further analyze for the rest of this course. Your choice will influence
the decisions you make for the rest of your portfolio. Here are some of the aspects you
will be virtually determining the following in further sections of your portfolio:

c. Loans
d. Banking
e. Investments
f. Owning and Operating a Vehicle
g. Ideal Home or Product

needed in Canada and their income.

Part 2: Canadian Job Demographics


Statistics Canada is a federal government agency which provides statistics to better understand
the nation of Canada. You can find a wide variety of information ranging from Canadas
population, resources, economy, society, and culture.
In this section, you will be creating a poster based on the following:
Using the Statistics Canada website and at least one other source find a conclusion to a question
of your choice. This question should be related to your career choice and have some kind of
influence on your finances. You can pose any professional question you wish. For example: Do
men still make more money on average than women in Canada?
You may wish to look at the statistics from Ontario specifically to better influence your
