Regarding Leigh Fryling,

My name is Johannes Bodendorfer, and I am one of Leighs students,

although not a student in the traditional sense.
Leigh Fryling does not teach me academic knowledge, but what she does
teach me is arguably more valuable than that. Leigh Fryling teaches me how
to be a responsible, caring and enthusiastic human being.
Through her role as a dorm parent, she has the opportunity to interact with
students on a personal level, making her an important role model for us
growing teenagers. With her personal hobbies and subjects such as Theatre
or English, she is able to convey values which are unobtainable to us without
her guidance. This might include respect, as Simba respected his father in
The Lion King, or courage that Charly had when he approached Lucy in the
play Charly Brown. Or even humour, displayed in her own written play
Pirates, rated ARRR and acted out by her students. But above all, Leigh
Frying teaches us to care about each other, tutoring us and listening to the
endless whining and complaining about the massive amounts of work we as
high-school students have.
Personally, Leigh has helped me grow my own character in forms of
philosophical discussions at Murchies or encouraging my participation in a
school play, which turned out to be of great value. Overall Leigh gave us an
opportunity to develop and demonstrate our full potential as students and
human beings to her and hopefully making her proud to have been and still
being an extremely important person in our lives. Thank you Leigh,
Johannes Bodendorfer,
