Dear Student,
You have been accepted to the course Childrens Literature in a Global Perspective. In
this letter we have put together as much useful information about the course as possible.
The course introduction will take place 20 January, 2015 at 10.15 in room A330. Showing
up is requisite, of course, and you will need to inform the course leader if you are unable to
attend the introductory meeting.
All students at Malm University are provided with a computer-ID and email-address. Before the course starts you need to activate these functions. You will get information from
the international office about how to activate your computer-ID. After that, you will have
access to a course homepage at https://mah.itslearning.com/elogin/
This is where news will be posted and documents distributed.
Classes will usually be Tuesdays and Thursday between 10.15 and 13.00. You will find a
preliminary schedule by going to the following link. Please bear in mind, however, that the
schedule can be altered during the course. Direct link:

In preparation for the first meeting I want you to write a personal childhood reading history, 1-2 pages should suffice. Some of the points (pick a few of them) that you could consider are:
You could also start thinking about an author or childrens book from your home country/language that you would like to present in class. In some cases it can even be a good
idea to bring material with you.
