Reconfiguration of office space

Melanie discussed reclassification study


in the IT class of jobs. Theres lots of
work to be done in this study, for up to 3
years. Committees are formed to help with
the study, job descriptions written by HR.
No impact to Rate of Pay right now. SherriAnn (Labor Advocate) added that the
union is very supportive of these studies.
Jim stated that the Bills in the house and
senate regarding Administrative Law
Judge will not impact our OIC Hearings
unit at this time. We currently have a Full
time Job posting for a Hearings officer.
There have been a few staff complaints in
regards to office space changes. Shannon

encouraged questions and concerns go


directly to Steve Carlsberg. She and Matt
are available as well, but Steve is the
project manager. Theyre doing as much
as possible to accommodate. Staff have
requested more notice prior to their phase
of the move; 3 weeks if possible.
Schematics of each cubicle / work space
and the orientation of the workstations are
being followed as much as possible. Some
practical/functional adjustments can be
made after the move. Staff requested
Facilities to develop a feedback
mechanism to address adjustments to
reconfigurations after each phase.
An area that has already changed affected
the visibility of the Union Information on
the cork board that was located in the 2nd
floor First Aid room. It will be moved to the
copy room next to Steve Carlsbergs
office.
