Line and Shape

Nine Square
The Nine square project focused on colors,
line weights and vertical and horizontal
planes. Through this we study how we could
bring attention to certain areas of each
individual square. Which was all based on the

Perspective and Axonometric hand drawings was

what we forced on one home and created plans
sections and elevations for the perspective drawings
that would help us start thinking about objects in 2D
and 3D.

Space Chunk
The Space chunk project allows the
mind to fully think in 3D using little
squares to create a massing that allows
certain parts of massing to stand out
and create an interesting model.

ARCHITECTURE 272

Constructed 3 projects using AutoCAD and

Revit and Hand drawing, including oor plans,
elevation, sections, diagrams, programs and
model building using a variety of dierent
mediums. Project deliverables and constraints
consisted of space restrictions, precedent
drawing, and site restrictions.

The habitable wall project gave us a list of

many specics spacing requirements that
were then to be organized in a way to
create a building.

House to Street
This home is a small 1200sqft living space, placed
on a hill. With this project we were given
limitation on the landscape and were encouraged
to incorperate that into that design.

A safe haven for all dancers, its a place where they feel secluded in a little nook of a state park where they are more alone and free to act however
without being wary of who might be watching. The Studios are laid out and placed low on the site so that the dancers feel comfortable practicing
and trying new dance moves and technics with ease. With this Idea of seclusion in mind there is also an outdoor performance and studio space at the
very end of the datum line that connects all the buildings together. The outdoor space was designed so the idea of safe haven remained even when
outdoors and the dancers could practice out doors and be inspired by nature rather than be in enclosed walls.

Take the Stage

Site 1: Emerald Pond l Project 3

Taking the Stage, a black box stage where the audience is on
the stage with the performers at all times. The Proscenium like
threshold is put there is show the division of space between the
audience/ public areas verses the performance area. By allowing the audience to cross that threshold that divides the two
they walk right onto the stage where the performance occurs.
