Assignment #2 Part Modeling

Objective: The student will create a part incorporating sketched features, work features
and placed features.
Due: Week 06 Class
Procedure:
1. Start a new millimeter units part file (Metric tab).
2. Create a model of the part shown on the following page. The part must incorporate
the following design intent.

Both the slot and cylinder (post) extrusion must stay centered on the part, no
matter the width of the part.
The hole through the machined end of the post must remain aligned with the
centerline of the post, and 20mm down from the top face of the post.
The two machined faces on the cylinder are equal distance from the centerline
of the cylinder. (Create this as a single feature rather than as a mirrored
feature)

3. Save the file to d:\work using the following format.

xxxxxxxx-A02.ipt
Where xxxxxxx is your log-in ID.
4. Using Windows Explorer, copy the file to:
In[I:]\aico\4044\assignments\assign02
