Grade Two
Weekly Update
Hello Grade Two Parents!
We had a very, very, extremely busy week in Grade Two.
We completed our MAP testing! Hoorah!
Language:

Math:

-We looked at making comparisons

through Venn Diagrams.
-We are currently working on Term 2
reading assessments to determine our
current reading levels

We completed our Unit 6 Test

(Please see the Reflection Sheet and
make sure you sign it!)
We started Unit 7
-We found patterns using calculators
- We practiced two-digit subtraction
questions

Due to MAP testing we have lost some

class time this week. Please dont worry
if your child hasnt received a new
reading book- our reading program will
resume in full next week.

Science:

Next Week:

-We are tuning in about our new unit.

- We discussed the meaning of key words
such as force, energy and motion and
inquired into those words by doing some
fun activities!
- Next week we are looking at different
inventions and the impacts these
inventions have on peoples lives.

-We have a lot going on next week.
