bounds the driver will be marked at the point and is not disqualified.
If during a pull, any part of a tractor goes outside the track boundary lines, after
100 feet, this will be cause for disqualification and the tractor will lose its second
pull option. A test puller will be given an option hook. The sled may go out of
the track boundary lines, but not the tractor.

SLED BRAKES
The sled operator may use sled brakes or remote tractor shut off if he feels it is
necessary for safety. The individual pull will end at this point. A re-pull may be
allowed depending on the track officials decision.

This must be done while sled is coming back to the start line from the previous
pull. Only one sled spotting is allowed. All pullers must start from a tight hitch
from the same starting line. No jerk starts will be allowed. Contestants will be
allowed 3 attempts at 100 feet to start sled and on the third attempt the driver will
move to the last position.

SLED RE-WEIGHT
If the sled is re-weighted it must be done before the 3rd tractor pulls or at the
discretion of the sled operator and two board members.
If the sled is re-weighted the number 1 puller again has the option of a re-pull. If
the number 1 does not want to pull in the number 1 position the number 2 puller
will assume the number 1 position and have his option of a re-pull. The original
number 1 puller will assume the last pulling position.

or the pull. The drawbar and drawbar assembly will not in any way be attached to

All pulling tractors will be inspected each year. No

SAFETY
At every Outlaw Hot Rod Pullers Association sanctioned event, safety is the name of the
game. The sport of tractor pulling has more brute horsepower than any other motor sport
in the world. With machinery this powerful, safety cannot be over emphasized.
There are many different types of safety equipment requires and will appear on many
different areas of the pulling vehicle.
During the pull, safety is in the front of everyone's mind. The crowd must be kept at least
25 feet from the track unless a concrete or wooden barrier is used or with reasonable
approved exceptions. Spectators in the pit area must be kept to a minimum and everyone
in the pit area. The ends of the track must be kept open at all times. A pull will not be
conducted if a safety hazard is posed to anyone. No one 14 or under will be allowed in
any of our "hot" areas. Staging areas, competition track, pit area and etc. are considered
hot areas.
Safety is everyone's responsibility. The promoter, track workers, spectator and officials
must work together to ensure the safety of all involved.
Warranty Disclaimer: These rules are intended as guidelines for the sport of tractor
pulling. The rules relating to the safety of equipment are the responsibility of each driver

or implied warranty of safety is intended or may be inferred from the publication of these
rules, or the compliance therewith. Nothing herein should be construed as a guarantee
against injury or death to participants, bystanders or spectators.
Rules and specifications as set forth in this rulebook are based upon the recommendations
of competing members, crewmen and other participants in the sport of tractor pulling. All
participants must assume all liability for any damage or loss caused by or flowing from
their equipment and their use thereof.
