NIFT- NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY
AN INSTITUTION OF DESIGN, MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE
INTERNATIONAL FASHION BUSINESS.
IT HAS BEEN EMPOWERED TO GRANT ITS OWN DEGREES AND OTHER
ACADEMIC DISTINCTIONS.
IT ALSO COUNTS AMONG THE COVETED LIST OF AN INSTITUTE OF
NATIONAL IMPORTANCE BY THE PARLIAMENT OF INDIA.
THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY WAS SET UP BY THE
GOVERNMENT OF INDIA IN 1986 AS AN AUTONOMOUS SOCIETY IN
COLLABORATION WITH THE FASHION TECHNOLOGY (FIT), NEW YORK, TO
TRAIN PROFESSIONALS TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TEXTILES
INDUSTRY.
THE INSTITUTE HAS PIONEERED THE EVOLUTION OF FASHION BUSINESS
EDUCATION ACROSS THE COUNTRY THROUGH ITS NETWORK OF CENTRES
AT NEW DELHI, BENGALURU, CHENNAI, GANDHINAGAR, HYDERABAD,
KOLKATA, MUMBAI, PATNA, BHOPAL, SHILLONG, KANNUR AND
KANGRA.NIFT,
BESIDES
CONDUCTING

PROFESSIONAL

TO UNDERSTAND THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE FASHION TECHNOLOGY
AND ENROLL ARCHITECTURE IN THE CREATION OF THAT SPACE.
TO DEVELOP AN INTERFACE OF TRADITION AND TECHNOLOGY WITH THE
BUILDING COMPONENTS AS A CONNECTION TO THE THEME OF THE
INSTITUTE.
TO TREAT THE CIRCULATION SPINE AND CORRIDORS, AS THE DISPLAY
GALLERY FOR THE ART WORKS IN ORDER TO CREATE AN AURA OF
INTEREST AND CREATIVE LEARNING FOR THE STUDENTS.

SPATIAL NEEDS AND REQUIREMENTS ARE STUDIES FOCUSING ON THE
APPROVED TOPIC. WE WILL STUDY THE PRESENT FUNCTIONING AND
ORGANIZATION OF SPACE THROUGH CASE STUDIES. ALL THE GATHERED IN
THIS PHASE WILL BE APPLIED IN OUR DESIGN PHASE.
