Weekly STSE Blog Rating Scale

Under the Student Achievement Success Criteria, you will be graded in the following categories: Thinking/Inquiry
[T/I], Communication [C], and Application [A] for each week. Out of a possible 100% the weekly weighting factor
is as follows: 20% Week 1, 20% Week 2, 20% Week 3, 30% Week 4, and 10% for the Lab Carousel. This
assignment is worth 30% of your overall mark for this unit.

Week #1 Blog Post: Nuclear Disasters

careful considerations of benefits and consequences of using

Week #2 Blog Post: The Fracking Controversy


Major stakeholders were appropriately identified, followed by
an accurate description of each role
Consequence map identified relevant and well-justified
consequences on the issue
Blog on chosen stakeholders perspective was relevant and
appropriate, in accordance with stakeholders values and
principles
Week #3 Blog Post: POGIL Reflection
PMI Chart: each category (plus, minus, interesting) clearly
articulated, and well-justified with relevant arguments
Blog answered clearly answered all questions
The blog written piece presented an effective argument,
supported by relevant and reliable resources
