Baby Merino Silk DK
A Rose 678
1 x 50gm
B Straw 671
1 x 50gm
C Dawn 672
1 x 50gm
(Oddment of Zinc 681 for embroidery)
NEEDLES
1 pair 4mm (no 8) (US 6) needles
TENSION
21 sts and 40 rows to 10cm measured over g st using 4mm
(US 6) needles.
FINISHED SIZE
Completed square before making up measures 12 cm (4 in)
wide by 12 cm (4 in) long for baby bunny and 18 cm (7 in)
wide by 18 cm (7in) long for mummy bunny.

MAKING UP
Halfway up from cast on edge run gathering thread across
all sts. Run each end of thread diagonally towards cast off
edge to meet in the middle of cast off edge.
Pull both ends of thread slightly to form shape of head.
Insert toy stuffing in head and pull thread tightly to form
head and ears.
Using photograph as a guide and using mattress stitch, sew
back seam.
Insert toy stuffing and small coins to weigh body down.
Note: If giving toy to a small child omit coins.
Run gathering thread along cast on edge and pull tightly.
Fasten off.
Using yarn B make small pom pom for baby bunny and
medium pom pom for mummy bunny and attach.
Using photograph as a guide sew french knots for eyes.

BABY BUNNY
Using 4mm (US 6) needles and yarn A cast on 26 sts.
Work in garter stitch for 48 rows.
Cast off.
MUMMY BUNNY
Using 4mm (US 6) needles and yarn C cast on 39 sts.
Work in garter stitch for 72 rows.
Cast off.
