Game Design
Criterion A. Inquiring & Analysing
I. Problem or Need

Game Design: The need or Problem

1. Who is your client? (Introduce and give a brief personal background)
My clients name is Bruno Nhavene, he is 12 years old. He has lived in mozambique his whole
life. He is Mozambican and he is the third best player of tennis for his age in africa. He has a big
brother called Armindo Nhavene. He is having trouble with his math skills. So to help him i am
going to make a scratch educational game. It will be about math, the difficulty he is having is
square roots he is not that good and he needs improvement.
2. Describe the situation in detail ( the clients problem or experience)
Like i said before he is having trouble with his math skills, being specific he is having trouble
with his square roots. But not any type of square root they are the fractions square root. That is
very hard to do but i can see that he is having trouble, so i will make a scratch game which is
fun and i want to make it so that he doesnt notice that it is educational.
3. Explain why there is a need to address the situation ( why do you need to help
the client?)
I want to help him first because he has helped me in allot of things and i want him to be good in
math.I also dont want him to have bad grades but the main reason is because he is a very good
friend of mine and like people say you should never disappoint your friend.
4. Discuss how you intend to solve or address the problem.
To solve the problem i will make an educational scratch game. It will be like an animal chasing
another and when he catches the other animal a square root question will come up i think that
will help him allot. Like i aslo said before i also want to make this game not only for him but
every person that is having difficulties in fraction square roots.

doesnt have glitches. It has good

IV. Design Brief (Check out this example:http://goo.gl/caAkmI )

In a paragraph, answer the following:
a. Summary of your analysis of your research
b. Brief description of your project: What type of game are you designing and creating?
(Check out some examples here: http://goo.gl/InRLoj )
c. Target client or audience or intended users: Who will use your projectt? (Be specific)
d. Purpose of your project: How will your target client or audience benefit from your project?

From what i know many students play online games and video games. But i thought what if i make an educational fun game. It
will be educational but it will be hard to find out. In some schools teachers try to convince them to play educational games but
that doesnt convince them allot. But if people get influenced on my game they will start playing it and playing it again and they will
think the game is not educational. So what i am going to do is make a scratch game which will contain adventure and educational
and fun things all together. My target audience are seventh graders and up because fraction square root are hard and you only l
