Colquitt County High

School Data Overview

Why an overview
Creating an Data over view helps staff
member see where their school is in
comparison to the state and the county.
It allows staff members to see where
improvement is crucial and where it is not
as crucial.
We will first be looking at our school and the
demographics of it. We will then look at
some of the exams that we take and a
break down of them.

Our school
We currently only have grades 10-12 at our
highs school.
Grades 8 and 9 are at the Junior High and
grades 6 and 7 are at the Middle school
We only have one of each of these in our
county
We had 1638 students enrolled in 2013

We are located in south western part
Georgia
We are 60 miles north of Tallahassee,
Florida
We are 200 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia
Our county is approximately 544 square
miles
We are in zone 28, which is the Gulf Coast,
North Florida, Atlantic Coast to Charleston

Summary

If we go back and look at the spring


enrollment in the school year 2010-2011
which was 564 and we look at the number
of students who took the SAT and the ACT,
we can see that only about 42% of students
attempted the SAT and 19% of students
attempted the ACT

Summary

While our graduation scores in science and


writing have increased over the years, our
scores in everything else have either
decreased or remained the same, especially
our history scores.
