AUTHENTICATION
Authentication is a process where users
werify that they are who they say there
are.
Authentication is important in order to safe
guard against the unauthorized access and
use.
Example: when you use ATM card, the
validation of the card. Then the machine
will request a pin number. This where
authentication takes place.

BIOMETRIC DEVICE
A device that translate personal
characteristics into a digital code that is
compared with a digital code stored in the
data base. Example of biometric devices
are:
Iris scanning
Voice recognition
Hand geometry
Signature verification system
Finger print recognition

CALL BACK SYSTEM

Refers to checking system that
authenticate the user. This is commonly
used in the bank operation and business
transaction. For example, when you book a
taxi service the operator will ask you to
hang up and she will call you back to
confirm for the service required.
