SCOPE OF THE STUDY
Through this project I would study the various methods of the working capital
management.
The study helps to determine the ability to meet future operational needs for
management of investments and their financing.
The study wll help them to control the expenditure and increase the profit. Also it is
useful in marketing strategy, decision making which will increase the income.
The study helps us to enable the enterprise to provide correct amount of working
capital at correct time.
The study is also useful in determining the rate of return on investments in working
capital.

OBJECTIVES
Primary Objectives
To evaluate the TNPL performance during last 5 years.
Secondary objectives
The secondary objectives of the study is to analyse the financial performance of the
company through the relevant financial analysis.
To interpret the financial performance and financial positions of various business
activities with the help of financial statements of TNPL
To measure the short term and long term solvency of business
To determine future potential of the TNPL
To compare operational efficiency engaged in the same industry
The main purpose of our study is to render a better understanding of the concept
working capital management.
To provide valuable suggestions and recommendations to the company.

LIMITATIONS OF STUDY
The primary data of this study is restricted to Chennai city only and therefore the
results obtained out of this study cannot generalized to other parts.
The project study is mainly based on information gathered from secondary data
mainly Balance sheet and profit and loss account.
The findings and results are formed only from the past five years data.
