Johnson E-Update: January 2010
The New Year finds us ful of gratitude for the wonderful Christmas we
spent with my Mom, Sammie Johnson. Thanks so much for your faithful
and fervent prayers for her over these last few months, Mom is doing
miraculously well. She seems to be having more good days now that
wen we arrived in late September. Her energy level has increased to the
point that she is driving again and has decided to rejoin the church choir.
She sill receives visits from her hospice nurse once a week and is taking
‘only minimal medication. In ight of the original 4-12 month diagnosis
Mom received in August, she's confounding the medical experts. Peshaps
we're witnessing a miracle. We'e really nol sure. At the very least God is
F graciously granting us more days with Mom that we anticipated. During
The Johnson Family + Fall 2009 times tke this you really understand that every single one is a gif! Thanks
for praying and please keep it up!

inate) Allthings considered, we're doing OK. I's not easy living on 2 continents
50 to speak, but we're so grateful for our friends who are sharing their
home with us herein Charlotte, NC. We're stil in touch with our
missionary team, Hungarian ministry partners and the schedule in
Hungary all the while trying to report to our supporting churches here, We
need to raise significant additional support ($1200/month) before we can
retum to Hungary. Besides monthly suppor, we could use many one-time
special gifts to help defray the serious financial shortfall we've experience
over the last several years. Of course, Mom's health is another factor in
the timing of our return to Hungary, so i's dificult to determine a specific
timeline at this point.
