Case Title : Stationary

1. Overview:
Ever thought of how a stationary store works, especially when the promoters
have practices of maintaining the per customer consumption on every
purchase made ? Providing required stationary to the demanding customers,
that too with maintaining records regarding each customers purchase,
requests, was the problem of leading stationary stores in the city, PUSTAK
MAHAL. This store is very well able to earn profits, but the owners have a
mission. They dont want to loose a single customer and on the contrary
would like to increase their business. They were also worried about managing
all the details when they open more branches. Increasing number of
customers with a variety of demands was adding to their problem. Catering to
the demands of the customers was turning into a huge challenge. So, the
promoters decided on having an automated system to maintain all the records
which would solve their problem and provide them sufficient data to make
future strategies. Below are the requirements which the owner along with his
staff finalized for the system:
2. Requirements:
Create a screen with Login Id and Password. Check for the different roles and
restrict access to perform the specified operations. (I.e. User cannot
Modify/Delete values.). User types are Admin and User.
Read the requirements carefully; Use appropriate fields and normalize the
database where ever necessary.

Admin user can Edit or Delete a stationary


Provide a feature supporting add, modify, delete stationeries information
Customers are of two types 1. Privileged, 2. Non-Privileged
Customer master table is a static table with around 15-20 entries of the given
types.
Stationeries details should have links to display customers purchasing those
stationeries.
Feature to issue stationary item to customer to be maintained. Date of Issue
to be captured.
Privileged customers have a credit limit of Rs 100 and Non-privileged
customers have a credit limit of Rs 50 . Validation to prompt appropriate
messages to be done at the backend.
Non- Privileged customers cannot have more than 3 stationeries.

Display details of the customers with the stationery name, who have been
issued stationeries between purchase dates, using a stored procedure.
