In 2013, I was able to further develop my training and management skills with a
different Corporation. As a private Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm, I
managed a team of five full-time and fifteen flex-trainers to meet the rigorous
training needs of the Fortune 50 client that we served. In doing so, I primarily
enhanced my leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills in the training
discipline. In addition, as the designated SME for coaching training, I delivered a
Performance Management-Precision Coaching program for all managers,
integrated processes and metrics between onboarding and new hire training,
and lead in the development of training manuals for all key product lines.
Going forward, I am wishing to get more involved with the Corporate, scalable
level projects and development that I originally sought out to achieve. To me, the
completion of this M.Ed. program will enable that dream. When it comes to
recruiting, experience can only get one so far. The backing of formal education
and training is very important. This degree will allow me to apply for positions
that I once could not when there is a specific requirement for Masters-level
education. Now looking at the finish line, I am excited for the opportunities that
could present itself a couple months from now!
Continued Learning
Besides seeking higher-level positions, I plan to continue my development. To
supplement my process improvement and training credentials, I plan to study for
and pass the Certified Performance Technologist (CPL) certification. Hosted as
the primary credential for the International Society for Performance
Improvement (ISPI), this credential is a well respective accolade for those in the
corporate arena. I feel that this certification will help round-out my credentials to
earn the Director and VP positions that I seek.
