Child Development & Independent Living

Employability Grade
Employability or soft skills are general skills that are necessary to be successful in any
and all workplace settings. We will strengthen our employability skills in Child
Development and Independent Living, by practicing them and being held accountable for
them.
You are able to earn up to 5 points each day we meet when the following behaviors are
shown for the duration of class:
Attendance: Limit tardiness and early departures to legitimate and essential
conditions.
Commitment to work: On-task with immediacy and without constant
supervision. Persistent even when task(s) may become difficult.
Effective communication: Speaking and listening that results in equity in voice,
respect, and an absence of tension.
Positive attitude: Cooperative with others (e.g., pleasant and polite interactions)
and takes directions willingly.
Presentation & Readiness: Dressed within Kamehameha High Schools Kapalmas student dress code. Am I ready to learn and be a successful
student?
Grading your Employability
You will earn a point for each skill if I observe it in the period; no point will be earned if
it is not observed. Not only will I upload your Employability Grades each week, but I will
