What were the 3 most significant events of the 20th

Century?
The treaty of Versailles
This laid the foundations for all future 20th century conflicts The treaty of
Versailles left Germany desperate and impoverished it created the perfect breeding
ground for radicals. It created the perfect opportunity for Hitler to come to power.
Hitler is arguably the most famous dictator of all time he left the 20th century with
scars that will never heal. Hitler propelled propaganda to new heights, he advanced
technology and he was the founder of the holocaust one of the most disgusting
genocides of history. The treaty of Versailles caused ww2 which cause the cold war.
Every European, Asian and north American conflict can be rooted to the treaty

The Russian Revolution

1917 was a tumultuous year for Russia; a year which changed the country forever.
In the midst of the Great War, Lenin and his Bolsheviks led their revolution with the
ideas of Marxist communism behind them. They took over the government leading
to the demise of the royal family and the birth of the USSR. This new, powerful
ideological force which implanted itself in Russia would dominate the world scene
throughout the century. The war of Democracy and Communism took root that day
and would draw the whole world into its conflict. To reiterate the fights that will
riddle the entirety of the 20th century capitalism vs communism was planted that
day.

Nuclear bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Man-made destructive power like the world had never before known and hardly
dared to imagine was suddenly thrust upon us at the end of the Second World War.
Nuclear and atomic energy was no longer just a theory; it was a weapon, and a
weapon that had now been used in combat. The world has never been the same
since. Now everyone knew what man was not only capable of doing but willing to
do.
The cold war was the direct descendant of these events. The United States had
declared the power they now held for the Russians to see. Russia soon after built
weapons of their own and dangled them for America to see. Fear gripped the world
as the ultimate method of destruction was now a looming threat. only twice have
atomic bombs ever been used against people, but now 70 years later the threat is
still a constant presence.

Was the Paris Peace Conference successful?

The Paris Peace Conference was unsuccessful; the thing it was made for the utmost
reason behind the whole thing, leaving peoples prejudice and agendas aside was to
make sure a war like this never happened again. 20 years latter there was a second
war. The Big three got partially what they wanted but not everything. The thing they
wanted the most though they may not have admitted it and it is never out rightly

stated was for no more grand war. None of their countries were in any shape to go
into war again. Britain knew if they went to war again they would lose their hold on
the world number one superpower. France knew its location so it knew that if a war
would happen again it was very likely it would be fought in France. America mostly
wanted to stay isolated but on top of that it knew it would take a major financial hit
if a war happened again.
