This Case Study will develop your skills in:

Teaching and Learning


Using journal articles, books, exhibition catalogues and selected on-line sources,
students write an account of each artists practice under the headings below:
1) A BRIEF biography including details of influential aspects of cultural and sociopolitical background
2) The most significant features of each artists conceptual and material practice
3) Where each artists work has been exhibited, and how audiences experience
their works.
4) Critical opinions and interpretations, referencing at least ONE art critic as a
source
5) A detailed description and critical analysis of TWO artworks
6) Connections/ points of comparison with each other artist in the case study.

Students will prepare to use this case study material for a range of
extended response questions, including practice, conceptual
framework, structural frame, postmodern frame and cultural frame
questions following a response to the question posted below.
