Paulson tells us in this article that heroes come in many sizes, colors, genders, and
ages. To his family, his son Seth is their hero. Seth was diagnosed with cancer when he
was attending his first semester at Madison Area Technical College. Even though he
knew he had cancer he decided to work even harder in school. He was able to make the
deans list on his first semester of college. When he started his chemo treatment he
decided to carry on with his normal activities. He lost his hair due to the chemo treatment
but he was always thinking positive. After the chemo treatment he received radiation
treatment. The radiation treatment had made him really sick and he lost 15 pounds. Seth
chose to be strong so he could fight the cancer.
