The Poet- MM-The Paradise Series

The Plea
I dream and it is you I dream. I see and it is you I see. I breathe and it is you I breathe. I talk and it is
you I talk about. I think and it is you I think about. I write and it is you I write about.
Why am I tormented with your existence? Why am I infatuated with your love? Why am I saturated
with your memory?
Though I try to deny my heart, it yearns for you. Though I try to block my mind, it reminds me of you.
Though I try to run, my feet return me to you.
Come now let us reason together and hear my plea!
I have three things to give you; a heart that is completely devoted to you; a soul that is madly in love
with you; a spirit that would spend time and eternity with you.
If I could take my unspoken passion, if I could take my bridal fidelity, if I could take my unchartered
enthusiasm and put it together in bouquet of roses, I would present it to you on my knee.
Open your heart my love? Open your soul my princess. Open your spirit my queen. Do not see with
your eyes what your heart knows. Do not feel with your emotions what your soul sees. Do not test
with your mind what your spirit feels.
What would convince you? What would turn your heart? What would move you? I am the man that
you seek. I am the man that you need. I am the man that will complete you.
You are more than a lovely face to me. You are more than a fancy name to me. You are more than a
pretty woman to me.
You are a woman whose value is not in fine gold. You are a woman whose beauty is not in fine apparel.
You are a woman whose taste is not in fine wine.
I see a woman whose intellect fascinates me. I see a woman whose industry motivates me. I see a
woman whose mystic intrigues me.
I beseech you, let me come to you in the morning when the due of heaven rests on the spring grass.
Let me come to you at noon when the sun drenches the flowers of the field. Let me come to you in
the evening when the wind tinkles the leaves of the mountain trees.
I possess not riches yet I am unbelievably wealthy, I hold no earthly title, yet I am known among the
poor, I have no desire for authority, yet I do that which astound and confound.
I am a humble man who seeks nothing from you. I am a gentle man who will never hurt you. I am a
peaceful man who will never disturb you.
I want you to know you are the life in my veins. I want you to know you are my unending wish. I want
you to know you are the woman of my dreams.
