Reading Response Book 7
This book had a different feel to it. It seemed to be talking more
about theology instead of Augustines life. I really enjoyed the part of
Confessions that read more like an autobiography because I could
relate to it more. I could learn from his mistakes and relate to his
situations or dilemmas. However, this section was still interesting. He
seems to start asking questions about philosophy and admits that he
has changed his views on philosophy. I wonder what caused him to
make these changes. He also discusses evil. I too have a tough time
believing that God has the power over everything when terrible even
occur like 911 or the holocaust. Augustine seemed to be struggling
with the same idea. Unfortunately, I did not find a answer to these
tough questions in this section.
