To Whom It May Concern:

I am delighted to present my resume to you for consideration as an elementary school
teacher within your district. As a 2011 graduate of Augusta State University, I have
student teaching experience in kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and fifth grade. I
have also had the great pleasure of educating Head Start students for one school year.
Furthermore, I have since had the honor to teach 5th grade Reading/ELA and Social
Studies, and also 3rd grade Science and Social Studies.
As my resume explains, my teaching experiences have been geared towards the
empowerment of my students. I have a very strong passion for educating young minds
and helping them to bloom into well-rounded, responsible, and thriving individuals.
Throughout my experiences, I have had the pleasure to teach students from diverse
backgrounds, including children with disabilities, students that perform below grade
level, and students who are considered gifted. As a result, I have successful practices in
designing creative and rigorous lessons, which accommodates multiple intelligences,
brings in hands-on activities, and keeps students engaged and focused.
My greatest strength includes inspiring and motivating students to believe that learning
can actually be fun! I actively engage their eager minds by incorporating a variety of
manipulatives, fun activities, and cooperative learning projects. Furthermore, I tailor
lesson plans to meet students diverse interests and abilities, as well as demonstrate direct
connections between the classroom and the real world. I will be more than willing to hold
parent teacher conferences on a regular basis to promote participation in the educational
process, reinforce education in the home, and boost students self-confidence and selfesteem.
As an alumnus of Thomson High School, it has always been an aspiration to return to the
county of which I am from. It would be a dream come true to bring my love of teaching
to the students of the community that made me who I am today. I look forward with great
anticipation to discussing with you the many ways in which I can make a significant
contribution to your educational program. Thank you in advance for your time and
consideration.
Sincerely,

RhaKiya White
