RationaleforthePlan:
Whatstudentlearningconcernswillthisplanaddressandwhatisbaselinedataforanalyzingthegoalsand
progress:
Thisplanwilladdressallstudentlearningneedsastheitrequiresthattheyarereceivingvaluablemusic
educationfortheplantohavegreatsuccess.Studentswillbelearninginanew,modernwaythatfitswith
modernworldwelivein.Theywillbeshowcasedplayinginstruments,singingsongs,andusingthe
resourcestheschooldistrictoffersinsteadofignoringthem.Therewillbemuchmorehandsonlearning
takingplaceshowingforwardthinkingwhichthedistrictembodies.Tothisdaytherehasnotbeenmuch
socialmediainregardstotheHowardWinn.elementaryvocalmusicdepartment,anditisthegoalofthis
plantomakeastrongpresenceonthewebandacrosstheworld
Howdoesthisplanrelatetobuildingand/ordistrictstudentachievementgoals?
Weareadistrictthatwantsthebestforourstudents,andwewanttoshowotherschools,communities,
countries,whatwearedoingatHowardWinn.Therearemanyexcitingchangesandthisisonethatneedsto
happeninorderfortheworldtoseenotonlywhatourstudentsaredoingacademically,butintheartsaswell.
Thedistrictwantstoincreaseawarenessandthiswilldojustthat.

Howwillthestrategiesandactivitiesinthisplanleadtoaccomplishingthegoal?
Throughuseoftwitter,andretweetingIhopetoincreaseawarenessofthenewdirectionthatthemusic
programisgoingintotheworld.Withthisnewtypeofinstructionandthealreadyprovenincreasein
musicalinterest,IhopetoturntheimageofHowardWinnspreviouselementarymusicprogramintoamore
positiveone.
