STRAIN/MANA Casting

At spell craft level 5 a character gains access to actual magic.

1. Magery Feat: Ability to use Magic to cast 0-level spells. A Character can cast a
number of 0-level spells equal to their Wisdom modifier; they may also learn
additional feats of magic (spells)

2. Feat of Magic Prerequisites: Magery): The character may cast this spell as a feat
of magic. Spells which are feats of magic do not need to be prepared each day and
can be cast as long as an unused Feat of Magic is available.

3. Spell Level a special feat of magic which gives a spell caster access to higher
level spells. The spell level is equal to the number of times this feat is taking (eg
taking this feat three times gives access to 3-level spells)

4. Spell book Feat (prerequisites: Magery) The Wizards spell book allows the Wizard
to record and prepare spells ahead of time and thus memorise them for use each
day. A Wizard can record a number of spells each day equal to their intelligence
modifier plus any feats of magic (spell slots) they have studied.

5. Spell craft Checks: Spell casting requires a Spell craft Check at DC 10+(5xspell
level) (a Lv1 spell has DC 15 a Lv9 spell has DC55)

6. Rituals and Sacrifice add to Spell craft checks (for each round used to cast gain
+2 mod, per person involved in ritual +2 and HP of sacrifice gained as +mod (so
sacrificing a dog HP6) gains +6 spell craft mod.

7. Spell recovery at a rate of 1 day per spell level (i.e. a level 9 spell requires a week
and half to recover before it can be used again)
