Work History:
August 2012 February 2013:
Day Care Provider at KidsTown. As a day care provider, I worked with children
ages 1-13. I was responsible for creating activities for the kids, keeping the area safe, and
help to provide meals as scheduled. I have been taught to change diapers and maintain
hygienic changing tables. I was responsible for keeping the play and interactions with
kids safe. I mostly acted as a backup teacher to help ensure that the center maintains a
safe ratio.
February 2007-February 2008:
Life Skills Instructor at Choices Transitional Services, Independent Living
Transition Program. As an instructor, I worked with adults with developmental
disabilities helping to achieve their goals of living independently including teaching
money management, budgeting, shopping, comparison shopping, bill payment, household
maintenance and the importance of personal hygiene. I was also responsible for daily,
monthly and six-month reviews of those in the program.
June 2005 August 2005:
Courtesy Clerk for Safeway Food and Drug. I was responsible for bagging
groceries, ensuring the food not purchased was put back on the shelves properly,
maintaining clean aisles and cleaning up spills ranging from food to oils. I was also
responsible for ensuring the carts were in the correct areas and out of the way in the
parking lot, helping customers to their cars and loading the cars when asked.
July 2001-December 2001:
Bather with Pet Camp. Pet Camp is a kennel based in San Francisco. I was a part
time bather in their grooming department, responsible for bathing dogs and cats, clipping
nails, cleaning ears and properly drying animals. I was to ensure the grooming center
operated in a professional and safe manner, minimizing hazards to pets and staff. I was
also responsible for keeping the floors clean and properly maintain the grooming
equipment.
April 2001-August 2002:
Bather with Kates Cat and Dog Salon. I worked for Kates Cat and Dog Salon as
a bather. My responsibilities included safely and properly bathing cats and dogs, drying
the animals, as well as clipping nails and cleaning their ears. I was also responsible for
checking animals in and out to their owners, operating the cash resister, making

appointments for baths and for animals to be brought in for grooming, as well as keeping
customer files in order and answering the phone.
Education:
I completed my AA in English at American River College in May 2012. I am
currently working on my BA in English from Colorado State University, Fort Collins.
