Determination of Cr (VI) of cement

1. Weigh 25 g of cement in one beaker 250 ml and add 25 ml

of distilled water .
2. Mix for 15 min using a stirrer plate .
3. Filter under vacuum and withdraw 5ml of the filtrate and
dilute in volumetric flask 100 ml .
4. Take 10 ml of the solution and determine the Cr (VI) by
using spectrophotometer.
Calculation:
Cr+6 PPM=reading * 20
