Cell phones

According to the syllabus, cell phones are not allowed

in class except when permitted by teacher.


Cell phones need to be in your bags not on your
desks.
If you are caught using your cell phone during class, it
is an automatic detention. This includes having
your headphones on

ASL 1
January 9, 2015

Extra Credit to be eligible you must sign up by Jan 9

This is the only extra credit opportunity that I will offering

this semester.
ASL Night is January 27th (5-7 pm)
If you perform in the ASL night show, you will be awarded
100 points of extra credit.
If you are interested please speak with 3rd Year ASL students
they are the ones who are planning this event.

Final notes for solo song performance


If performing in class, have song edited/cropped to 2

mins in case of time constraints.


Your song must be memorized when you record or
perform.
If you want help with glossing, make an appointment
for before/after school or during lunch. ASL club is also a
time that you could meet with an upper classman for
assistance.
Also remember that we will not be devoting very much
time to your song during class. You will need to do a lot of
the work outside of class to create a polished and
finished product.

Write down the following questions on a sheet of
paper.

Answer the questions as you watch the video.

If we
are unable to finish during class, or if you want to
watch it a second time, you can watch it at home and
turn in the paper on Monday.

Out of 100 points possible, considering each day we have

done a do-si-do. Tell me what grade you feel that you have
earned for the do-si-dos based on the guidelines established
(no talking, using facial expressions, following the script,
attendance/tardiness).
Defend your decision! If you can provide a strong
professional defense for your reasoning, I will award it to
you, otherwise I will award you the points you have earned
based on what I have observed.
