Many civilizations didnt know


how to make silk and the
Chinese did, created a huge
amount of trading.

An example of the Ancient


World interacting.

8. Black Plague

Over a five-year period from 1347


to 1352 C.E, 25 million people were
killed from it.

The main source of death in


medieval times.

Source of terror and people didnt


know how it was spreading and
how to prevent it, which then lead
to more deaths.

7. Small Pox

Mainly in 15th and 16th century,


we dont exactly know, but
most historians think the small
pox killed from 50% to 95% of
the population of the New
World.

A process that lasted other 12


days, which you either survived
or died.

3200 B.C.E. and the beginning


of writing which has helped
with everything such as
recording the past.

It changed the way how


people could communicate
with each other.

Judaism was the first form of


monotheism which is the belief
in one and only one god.

The start of Christianity which


then was the start of Islam.

Most of peoples religion today


is monotheistic.

1439 C.E. and increased the


amount of books (mainly the
bible) that were being printed,
used to hand write them.

Influenced the world greatly


because we have print around
us all the time.

3. Invention of Gun Powder

10th century and whoever has


guns, has the power.

The start of a new kind of


warfare.

Can kill from a great distance


away.

People who never seen a gun


would think it was some sort of
godlike power because they
didnt see anything enter the
body, they would just see them
die.

2. Neolithic Revolution

13000-5000 B.C.E. and the


transition from hunting and
gathering to farming and
animal domestication.

Farming is a huge source of our


food today.

The start of civilizations, first


were in the Fertile Crescent.

1. Money Economy

First started with the Persian Empire


3rd century B.C. E. and was the
change from Barter economy to
Money economy.

Every civilization since has adopted


this economy.

Whoever has money, has great deal


of power.

Other events arent as important as


this because money is a huge reason
why we have poverty today and there
is such a high demand for money. Its
how we are getting paid and many
things must be supplied with money so
without it, the world as we know it
would be a very different place.
