Year 2 Class Bulletin
Term 3 January 2010

Dear Parents / Carers,

Happy New Year! W elcome back to a cold and snowy term 3.

As last term, I am taking clubs on M ondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and

therefore M rs Lone will dismiss the children on these days.

M y planning time this term is on a Friday morning when M iss Kemp will be

teaching RE and Creative M aths to the class.

I am hoping to rearrange the class trip to the National Portrait Gallery this

term so will be in touch with details.

PE
Literacy –
This term we are becoming ‘story-teller’s. We will be Outdoor PE (team games) will be on
telling the story of ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Brown and Friday afternoons. Kit required:
adapting it to write our own stories. trainers or plimsolls, navy tracksuit
bottoms and pale blue t-shirt.
Mathematics –
We will be covering the topics of multiplication and
division, place value, addition and subtraction,
symmetry, capacity.

Creative Curriculum –
Indoor PE (dance) will be on
Our theme is ‘MUSIC AROUND THE WORLD’. In this
we will look at how sound travels, how the ear works, Thursday afternoons. Kit required:
