1. Log on to your computer.

2. Open up Internet Explorer.

3. Go to www.mrtalmadge.com

4. Click on the Green “How the Market Works Button” at the top of the page.

5. Log in or register for a new account.

• If registering for a new account, use yourfirstnamemrt09@mrtalmadge.com as

the email address.
• The contest password is: “smseagles”

6. Find companies in the Middle East and Japan by going to these websites:

• http://www.ameinfo.com/company_profiles/
• http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_of_Japan

7. You must buy stock in at least 5 companies from the Middle East and 5 from
Japan.

• Today you should buy stock in at least 1 company from each part of the
world.

8. Go to www.voicethread.com.

9. Sign in or register for a new account.

10. Browse for “ Mr. Olson.”

11. Click on the thread for your class.

12. Click “Comment” and write a few sentences to Mr. Olson expressing your
appreciation for his time with you.

13. If you finish early, go to google.com/news and read about the earthquake in
Haiti.
