Su The National Interest del 6 dicembre 2014 James Carden esamina alcuni
discorsi dei suoi governanti per mettere in luce gli obiettivi e le motivazioni
della Russia.
"Lavrov identified as the Wests primary motive in enacting the sanctions
regime against Russia: regime change. As regards the conceptual approach
to the use of coercive measures the West unequivocally demonstrates that it
does not merely seek to change Russian policyit seeks to change the
regimeand practically nobody denies this."
"Going one further than Lavrov, Putin indicated that he believes the goal of
the sanctions regime isnt merely regime change. In fact the West
would gladly let Russia follow the Yugoslav scenario of disintegration and
dismemberment.It did not work, just as it did not work for Hitlerwho set
out to destroy Russia and pushed us back beyond the Urals. Everyone should
remember how it ended.
Both speechestheir words plain, their meanings pellucidshould (but likely
will not) put an end to the guessing game over Russia's supposedly
mysterious motives and intentions".
Secondo i leader russi l' Occidente cerca non solo di cambiare l' attuale
regime della Russia, ma anche di disgregarla. Ci sono in effetti elementi per
ritenere che gli USA e i loro pi stretti alleati puntino a erodere il consenso a
Putin con misure idonee a ferire la diffusa sensibilit nazionalista russa.
C' qualcuno negli USA che considera il caos pi vantaggioso del
consolidamento della compagine nata dallo scioglimento dell' URSS. Si tratta
di una visione miope, che priva l' Occidente di una collaborazione decisiva
nella lotta al fondamentalismo islamico e nella competizione con la Cina.
Tale visione non riscuote consensi nell' area Teaparty:
