Project Name: Blind navigation and safety with GSM modem.

Description: We presented requirements, design and implementation of an equipment that can be
utilized by blind and visually impaired users via a wearable system consisting of an IR LED and
photodiode arrangement in a cane while walking outside and a ANDROID cell phone which has a
feature of text to voice conversion. This removes the barriers for the blind user to fully integrate into
their environment. Text-to-Speech and voice recognition can play a significant role in interacting
with technology. GSM provides an efficient communication to the Android mobile by using a
particular SIM.
