Kujawy dolls.
They present the costume of Kujawy that is a blouse made from
linen, a bodice made from wool , a red skirt, a wide apron, on the head
so-called pkorona made from a ribbon of various colours.
Ceramics.
In the former time they were used in the kitchen and as a
decorative element. At present they are used only as a decorative
element. They are made of clay and decorated with oil and stainedglass paints. Floral motives are prevailed.
The embroidery.
It is one of the most popular folk handicraft product.
Characteristic features of embroidery of the Kujawy region are white
colour and short stitch. There are a lot of plant-like motives such as
chamomiles, cornflowers, sunflowers and roses.
The main stitches are stem stitch and raised embroidery.
Linen aprons were always decorated in the same way that is the
embroidery created with the help of a cohesive stitch border running
along the borders of the apron.
Easter eggs.
They are also called Paschal eggs - decorated eggs that are
often given to celebrate Easter. Easter eggs are popular during the
season of Eastertide (Easter season). The oldest tradition is to use
dyed and painted chicken eggs. Eggs, in general, were a traditional
symbol of fertility and rebirth. In Christianity, for the celebration of
Eastertide, Easter eggs symbolize the empty tomb of Jesus: though an
egg appears to be like the stone of a tomb, a bird hatches from it with
life, similarly, the Easter egg, for Christians, is a reminder that Jesus
rose from the grave, and that those who believe will also experience
eternal life.

Easter palms.
It is a traditional Polish symbolic decoration associated with
Palm Sunday. Traditionally, Easter palms are prepared from willow
branches (with catkins) on Ash Wednesday. As palm trees are not
indigenous to Poland, willow branches serve as symbolic substitutes
for palm branches. An Easter palm may also sport some decorations,
such as ribbons or dried flowers or other plants with attributed
beneficial effects.
Lace.
In the late 16th century there was a rapid development in the
field of lace. There was an openwork fabric where combinations of
open spaces and dense textures formed designs. These forms of lace
were dominant in both fashion and home dcor during the late 1500s.
For enhancing the beauty of collars and cuffs, needle lace was
embroidered with loops and picots. In Poland, lace is still handmade
and it is a pretty form of handicraft.
