Unit 4
Major Plates of the Lithosphere: Earth's Tectonic Plates
I chose this video because they talked about how the plate tectonic theory came to be and
how it was proven, and they also gave me history about the theory of plate tectonics. I learned
that billions of years ago the earths continents were all together called Pangaea. I also learned
that plates are constantly moving, just very slowly. I agree with what they are talking about
because they are saying the things that we learned in Unit 4 for plate tectonics and he proved the
plate tectonic theory by convection currents in the mantle. I felt a little bored because it wasnt
hands on and she was just talking about it without showing us manually about what happened or
use examples of what the plate tectonic theory looked like. This video relates to what I learned
in class because it talks about how it was proven and how the continents came to be and what it
looked like when it was one big continent.

Plate Tectonics- Difference between Crust and Lithosphere

I chose this video because it was interesting and very talkative and hands on while still
staying on topic and going deep within the topic. I learned that the plates make up the Earths
crust and they were all one supercontinent and the plates moved to what they are now called the
plate tectonic theory. I agree with the video because it was talking about the theory of plate
tectonics and how it came to be and what it looks like now and they backed it up with facts, just
like we learned in class. I felt entertained because he was very hands on at explaining and giving
examples to get you to grasp the information. He also stayed on topic and explained the plate
tectonic theory very well. This video relates to what weve been learning in class because it talks
about how it started, how it looks. now, how it got to be there, and how they proved the theory,
just like we have been learning in class.
