Intro: Over the past few weeks respected comedian Bill Cosby has come under
scrutiny over rape accusations spanning over the past twenty years. These
aligations have just come to light when his past victims spoke out in support of his
recent victim who has come about her alleged sexual assault. Though these assaults
span over the past decade or two they have only recently come to surface, with little
or no consequences as of yet. Kathleen Travasano feels that if his is guilty his
celebrity status should not matter.
Cue in : First of all I think he is entitled to a fair trial.
Cue out: I dont think he should be able to intimidate woman or people that work
for him
Brennan Capillie seems to share similar sentiments about the case.
Cue in: I mean I Personally think its real good that things like this are coming out
Cue out: Nah its good that this is getting out now.
Outro: Guilty or not, celebrities should be held to the same legal standards as
average citizens regardless of how much money they earn. It is important for our
rights as people and for the integrity of our legal system to treat everyone like
equals when regarding their participation in a crime, and their social status should
not interfere with that.
