1. Writing situation
a. Who is the audience? This document is mainly for students interested in entering
pre-nursing.
b. Why do you think this? It has information for them of what things are required for
them to be accepted into that program. They give you an insight to what types of
things they are looking for and what they expect from the student
c. Provide at least one example from the text. The mission of the School of
Nursing is to prepare professional practitioners of nursing to care for the health
needs of individuals, families, groups, and communities in society. Nursing has a
major role in assuring that changing health needs are met. The mission of the
School of Nursing is derived from the mission of the University of Texas at El
Paso.

a. What is this document trying to do? This document is informing people interested
in the pre nursing programs at utep or simply showing anyone who is researching
the pre nursing program what is required.
b. Why do you think that? I has chats that show courses that are required to be
accepted. It lets you no what types of pre requisites that you need to take in order
to get into the program.
c. Provide an example from the text.

3. writing roles
a. Who is writing this? The document does not specify who the author is but I
believe it written by a group of people within the pre-nursing program
b. Why do you think this? The document only show what people make up the
faculty for the pre-nursing program but it doesnt show who wrote it .

It flows very well many of the things are titled, put in bullets or tables and
the language is easily understandable.
b. Why do you think this? This form would be written by professionals there for
they have to show they know what there doing.
c. Provide at least 2 examples from the text.
Conclusion
Even though I had already received a form showing me what courses I was required to take and
pass and what grades I would need to get in the pre-nursing program this document gave me a
little more information. After seeing all the things that are required I have realized this is a very

competitive major and I will need to stay on top of every class . I have decided that I will used
this document for my research paper after all it did give me more knowledge for my discipline.
