October 10, 2007
Greetings Neighbors,
Ithas been almost 3 months since we were incorporated as a Voluntary
Homeowners Association with 30 of our neighbors as paid members. The members
lected officers at the August HOA meeting. The officers aze: President Paul Smith,
Secretary Melissa Thomas, Treasurer Fred Blinne, and Member at Large Jim
MeWilliams. All positions are filled with the exception of Vice-president. If any paid
HOA member would be interested in serving in this position, please contact Paul or any
officer.
Our Architectural Control Committee consists of: John Hammond, Terry Ultis,
Sue Blevins, Mark Mercurio, and Steve Stricklin. They are actively involved with
covenant related issues. They are also looking into mailbox post replacement, and will
present ideas at our next meeting.
‘The hiring of a landscaping company has resulted in an improvement in the
appearance of the front entrances. The hiring was temporary pending ereatien of the
HOA. We will be soliciting new bids from landscapers. The final decision will be voted
om by the membership. If you would like to suggest’a company, please let one of the
board members know. The entrance walls, signs, and wrought iron are also in need of
repair. Recommendations for contractors for this work are being sought. Suggestions for
this work are welcome also. In the past there have been several instances of vandalism of
the ground lights at the entrances. Wake Electric has proposed replacing them with
matching streetlights, providing more light'at the.corners and less opportunity for
vandalism. The orange posts are'the proposed location of the lights. This proposed
change must be voted on by the members. Think about what you would like to see done
there.
‘Membership checks are still being accepted, If you have not yet joined, your
membership check for $200.00 will greatly help with improvements for our
neighborhood. Checks payable to CTCHOA should be mailed to the address above or
brought to the HOA meeting: The Post Office Box is our official HOA mailing address.
Our next meeting will be Tue. November 6 @ 7:00 at the Forks Restaurant.
Our HOA meetings are open to all Chauncey homeowners. Comments and
concems are welcome from all. The right to vote on community issues, however, is
reserved for paid HOA members,
We have taken a positive step in creating an association. This enables us to make
needed improvements. All comments, questions, and ideas for additional improvement,
including social events are welcome.
‘Thank you for your support,
