Human Right Violations in the U.S.

Informative Essay
Do you think that the United States of America is as wonderful as the television
tells you so? Do you have any idea of the things that are happening right now currently
in the U.S.? Right now, today in the United States, human rights are being violated right
under our noses. And, thanks to technology, its being streamed to us before the media
can cover it up.
Take Ferguson for example. In Ferguson, Missouri, there have been protests as
well as shootings ever since Michael Brown was shot and killed by Daren Wilson while
unarmed. Michael just so happened to be a young colored boy. This enraged the
citizens of Ferguson because not only was the boy defenseless, but Daren Wilson got
paid leave, got married while on said paid leave, and showed little to no remorse
whatsoever. Psychologists are even scratching their heads at this one because he
shows no sign of ptsd (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), which most people who have
killed under the name of self-defense show signs of. As far as the majority of the
population realizes is that Daren Wilson killed an unarmed black boy and got paid for it
while feeling no remorse whatsoever.
The police force in America has proven to be corrupt. American police kill one
suspect every day. Deaths from police shootings in the latest available year reaches a
shocking number of 409 lives in America. Only eight in Germany. Zero in Britain, and
zero in Japan. This could be because the other countries put restrictions on their

weapons as well as having well trained people on their police force who does not need
to use brute force like that to capture their suspects.
Not only are police officers proven to be overly cautious of other races, but that
also seems to be the case about the U.S. congress. The Republican House in Congress
simply wont say that they wont stop going after Obama until he is impeached, although
in everything they do it is heavily implied. You can detect this undertone in the level of
disrespect for this president that would be unthinkable were he not African-American.
One example being that Newt Gingrich sent poor children to housing projects jobs
cleaning toilets in public schools to teach them that there is an alternative to becoming
a pimp or a drug dealer.
These children Newt Gingrich said, have no work ethic.
Compared to white men, African American and Hispanic women make even less
than white women. White women make 77 cents per dollar the average white man
makes. But the African American woman makes 64 cents per dollar the average man
makes. This Hispanic women only makes 56 cents per dollar. If youre a white woman
and you think that you have it hard, try stepping into another sisters shoes for a day. A
sister who is colored. Yes, equal pay is important, but its often been shown that only
white women deserve it. Mostly because when you think of unequal pay on sexism
levels, your mind is automatically conditioned to think of the white man vs. the white
woman. Equal pay should be equal for everybody. Equal pay should be for the black,
the white, the Hispanic, Asian, transgendered, gay, bisexual, asexual, lesbian,
pansexual, intersex, intergender and allies.

The number of people fired by their jobs just for being a part of the LGBT
community is simply astonishing. In 29 states, it is perfectly legal to fire someone
because an employer thinks they might be gay, lesbian, or bisexual. In 33 states,
someone can be fired for being transgender, and those employees have no legal
recourse to contest their dismissal.
Hundreds of people get fired yearly because of their sexual orientation. They are
considered lesser than ordinary straight people. Another bash at Americas proudly
proclaimed equality. People get beat up, thrown out, threatened, as well as even
raped for coming out of the closet.
America has always told us that we have the freedom of speech.
Americas society has taught us that the amendment only applies to what
everyone wants to hear and not what everyone needs to hear.
