Right-click the folder you want to change.

Select properties.
Click the "customize" tab.
Select "change icon".
Select browse and navigate to whatever location you stored the icons in.
Double-click the desired icon, then click apply.

RESIZING:
Hold down CTRL and Scroll using the mouse wheel (while desktop is active).
