Question

Comments

Is the graphic of suitable size and

proportion bearing in mind its
purpose?

It is suitable because it is designed to be able to fit within

the phone box. The box will be 20cm long, 10cm in width
and 10cm tall. This means that the user guide will fit when it
is folded up in the box.

Have a suitable range of editing

techniques have been used?

I used Microsoft Publisher to create the user guide. Mostly I

used the text box tool which allowed me have a tidy user
guide. I used the shapes tool, which allowed me to add
arrows pointing to the different features of the phone, but I
do need to edit the headings to make it look more
professional, i.e. underlining and capital letters.

Is the graphic an accurate

representation of the object or
character it is intended to portray?

Yes because it is tidy and in my opinion it looks

professional because it is in a good lay out and everything
is in the place it needs to be. But the image of the phone at
the beginning of the user guide does need to be replaced
with the logo of the company.

Is the graphic of acceptable

quality?

Yes because the pixels have not been stretched out, this
means that the quality has not been impaired because it is
a vector graphic.

What do you think the strengths of

this graphic are?

The strengths of the user guide are it has easy to read text;
but it also has good sized images, which is key to a user
guide because if the images are too small you will struggle
to see them or if they are too big it will take up more room
and you will struggle to fit in the information.

What do you think the

weaknesses of this graphic are?

The weaknesses are it could elaborate on some of the

features more and it could have more information on the
phone.

Overall do you think the graphic is

fit for its intended purpose?

I do believe that it is fit for the purpose it was intended for

because it is a good size, it has a good number of images
and it explains how to start up the phone in the simplest
way.

Do you think it will appeal to its

target audience?

Yes because the phone & the user guide was intended for
people who have not used a smart phone before. It is
suitable because it has an easy to follow start up guide and
it labels all of the features that you need to know about.
