- Coached the beginner swimmers at the

Peace River Swim Club all through high

made me realize I could dedicate my life

because I did not have time to do all the
things I loved while trying to get good
grades, had to drop the volleyball team
because it was the same nights as
coaching swimming

- I can relate to the children who are so

busy with life, that school may not come
first for them
- Helps me relate to how they may only
be high school students but their stress
levels can still be very high
- Hopefully helped me be a more well
rounded person

Experience
- Volunteered in Haiti with Samaritans
Purse, with my Dad a year after the
earthquake for 2 weeks
- I worked in the clinic as a triage nurse
- On weekends Id go to the orphanages
(2010)

- Worked as a babysitter for two little

girls one whole summer (2011)
- Worked at the Matheiu Hrynik Law
Office for a summer (2013)

- After my Grade 5 year I moved from

Peace River, AB to Ladysmith, BC
- I only lived in Ladysmith for 2 years
before moving back to Peace River
- I had to experience what it was like to
be the new kid in class and how hard it
was to try and fit in and make new
friends

Application in School
- I feel that my heart will forever want to
help children, where ever they are from
- I want to show the kids that I am
grateful for everyday of my life, and
always want to help them, making my
classroom a good atmosphere, allowing
children to be themselves
- Helped me be a good listener without
judgment
- Really get to know the kids your
teaching, it will make your teaching job
much easier
- Opened my eyes to dealing with a lot of
stress in a job, knowing I successful did
the job gives me a little more confidence
for teaching
- Helped me learn how to be more
professional not only during the job but
after hours
- Teachers can play a huge role in how
included the new kid feels
- The teacher should also be watching out
for the new kid because being new you
have no one on your side
