A power point presentation will be shown to students to make them aware

Reflection
What was good about this lesson? Why?
This lesson described the cognition of slow and fast means of transport in different modes as land,
water and air. It gave a chance to find about the lifestyle of other communities.
How might this lesson have been improved?
The content of the lesson was little hard to understand so the ppt might be without any written part.
Children could be taken to visit some other community as a part of this lesson.
What did you learn about teaching and learning (students and your own) from this lesson?
I observed that children were surprised to see the lifestyle of other communities so they were
motivated to explore a new world.
I learnt that age appropriate content is must to be a successful teacher.

Comments
The chunk of information in the PPT
was not age appropriate.
Showing flags of each country was a
good way to introduce each new place.
The activity was planned over the
weekend, and worksheets were printed
off on the day of the activity.
Arti explained some of the terms and
was working with the students, giving
them immediate feedback as they
worked.
Arti made up her own PPT and
worksheet. To have students feel that
they were on a journey, maybe that
could have been role played going to
each place.
Arti moved around the classroom as
the students were completing their
worksheet task and discussing their
drawings with them.
The students tidied up their sheets and
had lunch.
Any other comments: (e.g. learning goals for next teaching activity)
-Another reminder to stick to time restrictions and to use simplified language such as type of transport not
mode of transport.
Goal for next lesson:
Ensure that the correct outcomes are being addressed
Pace yourself to stay within time restrictions
