I believe education to be the key to success. I consider education to be more than

just students learning the required curriculum, but rather it goes beyond that by teaching
students to think critically and find ways to creatively seek out solutions. I think of
education to be like a lantern, which lights your way in a dark path. It is a lantern in the
sense that education should help students gain life-long skills and further develop their
talents, which will aid them throughout their own journey of life. Education is about
looking for the natural gifts and talents of students and to help students to use those to
reach their maximum potential.
I strongly believe in creating a community among learners. A school community
is comprised of students, parents and teachers. One way in which a healthy environment
can be created is through professional and academic development for staff, parents and
students. This vision will help students to involved in the school community to help them
see that the doors to opportunities are opened and that strong futures can be built. I feel
that it is crucial that the school community understands that in order for this vision to be
realized, every member has a specific responsibility. As a teacher, I feel I have an
important role to work hard to strive to build up a strong sense of community in the
school, especially in my individual classroom. Creating a safe learning environment in
the classroom is extremely important. This should be the first step, as the other building
blocks of learning can only further develop for students once a safe, enriching
environment has been constructed. I believe every child should come to school and feel
that they are entering a safe, uplifting environment. As a teacher I want to strive to offer
endless support and feelings of care towards my student. Making students feel loved and
appreciated can make huge difference in a students life. My vision is to create positive

learning environments by involving each student in the learning processes. Involving

students in their learning will help them feel they can succeed independently, while at the
same time working together as a class to create a strong sense of unity.
I believe that a teachers role goes way beyond simply delivering material and
knowledge to their students. I think teachers are to be leaders, role models, and mentors
to those students that they come in contact with. I strongly believe teachers can make a
tremendous different in the lives of students. A teacher plays many roles in education and
it takes many steps to contribute to a successful learner. A teachers role is to be there for
their students and understand them, I believe it is a teachers role to seek out the different
learning strategies of students, and develop ways for students to successfully access
understanding and knowledge. I strongly believe in constant descriptive feedback. I want
to strive to be able to help all my students succeed. My vision is to constantly assess and
deliver useful feedback throughout lessons to ensure every student has reached
understanding before moving on. Not only will this help students, but also to help myself
realize which areas of my teaching need more support or coverage. I believe it is also a
teachers role to have open ears, in my opnion teachers can learn a lot from students. Not
only can they learn from students, but also it is also important to continue to gain
knowledge and strategies from educational sources and coworkers, as this will assist
teachers in being able to create the best possible learning experience for students.
