Co-Teaching is when two teachers work together in the classroom to provide instruction

to all students.
Both teachers share common goals for students and work together to ensure that every

student is getting their needs met in classroom.


Co-Teaching is part of a collaborative teaching approach.
The two teachers work side by side and plan who will be doing what in the classroom.
Teachers can rotate around the room in order to keep an eye on everyone.

Benefits: Students receive more assistance in the classroom, teachers can monitor

behaviors effectively, and when problem behaviors arise then one of the teachers can
assist while the other continues teaching.

One teacher will teach while the other


observes
The teacher who is observing would be

responsible for observing and monitoring


students and collecting data.

Stations
The students will rotate around the

classroom and go to different stations.


One teacher will go to one station and the

other will go to another station.

Teaching the same material


Student would be divided into groups.
Each teacher will go to a group and present

the material.
The teachers will be teaching the same

material to all the groups.

Taking turns teaching


One teacher can teach then the other can

take over.
They can take turns

Both teach together


Both teachers will provide instruction in

the classroom.
They will work as a team.

One teach and the other assist


One teacher will be in charge of instructing

while the other is in charge of helping


students and providing extra support.
