Sub: REPORT ON MOCK DRILL
Dear Sir,
A mock drill was held on March 10, 2014 at 11:00 hrs at Machine Building Division
(MBD) Design office of Mukand Ltd., Kalwe -Thane. This drill was witnessed by senior
executives of our Company.
Mr. Swapneel Pangerkar, Fire Officer explained the incident scenario to all participants &
observers. This was followed by the Mock Drill.
Scenario

Electrical fire due to short circuit in pantry room.

There was electrical fire due to short circuit in pantry room of MBD Design office. On
sensing smoke in the pantry room, the smoke detector gets activated and triggers
audio alarm.
The mock drill was properly conducted at site and then all the members were
assembled in the MBD training centre for detail discussions on their observations.

The following suggestions were received from observers during feedback

session;

Points

As existing Emergency siren installed at ganesh gate was not clearly audible at
MBD area, a dedicated siren to be installed for MBD area.

Unwanted material was lying on the way of south side Emergency exit door
obstructing safe evacuation. Emergency access should be kept free from
obstacles.

All observers have appreciated the efforts taken by all participants of Mukand
Ltd. for conducting the mock drill to increase the preparedness & awareness of
all the people working in the area.
