occupational wellness and the
importance on students personal

Present Slides 1 3 to students with


a brief overview of todays lesson
plan. Todays focus will be on
Occupational and Intellectual
Wellness, the last two domains in the
6 Dimensions of Wellness we have
been discussing in class.

Transition to slide 4, but before


presenting all of slide, have students
list ideas of what they think may be
included in Occupational Wellness.
List these ideas on the board in one
column with room to the left for

occupational wellness is important to
them. List this besides the prior list
on the board. Make connections
between the two as appropriate.

Transition to slide 6 and present the


whole slide.

Before transitioning to slide 7, hand


index cards out to the students and
have them write or illustrate a
personal example of their Intellectual
Wellness. They are encouraged to
think outside the box and write a
poem, draw a picture, or otherwise
be creative with the example. Give 5
minutes for creating and 5 minutes
for sharing experiences. (GMI:
Visual, Verbal, Interpersonal,
Intrapersonal, Existential)

Transition to slide 7 and hand out the
