Objective 1: Students will be able to answer questions on Kahoot about the two chapters that were read
in Edward Tulane
Objective 2: Students will be able to write down 3-5 facts about the book and record them in their
Evernote account.

5b. Exhibit a positive attitude toward using technology that support collaboration, learning, and

Timeline/Structure of the lesson:

Opening/Framing the lesson/Introduction/Early Assessment


To start off the lesson the teacher will read Chapters 9 and
10 of Edward Tulane. As the book is being read, the
teacher will be asking the students questions to ensure that
the students comprehend what is being read.

The Lesson Structure: Activities


After the two chapters are read to the students, each
student will be given an in class assessment tool (iClicker).
The teacher will log onto Kahoot and the students will start
with a couple questions from the text as a warm up.

As the book is being

This was a pretty simple lesson for second grade students. This lesson went very well for the students
because they really enjoyed experimenting with Kahoot and read the book Edward Tulane. This lesson
was simple for the fact of getting the students used to using Kahoot and answering and comprehending
questions on Kahoot. This lesson was meant for a warm up for the students.
Resources/Materials
In class assessment tools (iClickers) - The students needed these to answers the questions on Kahoot.
Kahoot- The students used Kahoot to answer the questions about the 2 chapters.
Evernote- The students used Evernote to record important information about the chapters that were
read.
